“PHONETICALLY SPEAKING” To reflect the fast pace of world news, my blog is probably best served as a stream-of-consciousness text. Fast and unadulterated. With this approach, and on first encounter, text might not seem to scan. This is because I am dyslexic. Instead of keeping the proof-readers busy, I would rather let my blog updates of my visual work stand as a record of my experience of dyslexia, which I am keen that you now get to enjoy too. Unlike some news outlets, I hereby excuse myself the need for a ‘corrections’ section! The excitement of a new language is something I’m quite familiar with, and it is with this ‘joie de vivre’ that I am delighted to guide you through my thought and work processes, more phonetically (than fanatically) speaking.
21st Century F1
Magicians at work, Bahrain is heavily involved in the military Saudi Arabian–led intervention in Yemen, throwing out international law and possibly helping to making the largest and unreported “humanitarian disaster” of the 21st century.
With the Formula One world press inside of the complex in Bahrain clearly focused on the achievements and the attributes of this glorious racing sport, with growing pressure to sack all the grid girls on the grounds of objectifying women, which will make F1 look progressive and at the same time saving $75,000 per contract.
If only one of the Western journalists in the mainstream news had the courage and brass balls to glance outside of the F1 circus to see what was happening in Bahrain.
Were it not so rosy, bringing in military to control the anti-war protests, home-made firebombs lighting up the streets around the Formula One complex, not to mention women’s rights is a distant dream? Just to mention a few things at a glance, so not too sure if we can call the Western media, media any more. Just a part of the propaganda machine which works like magic.
