“PHONETICALLY SPEAKING” To reflect the fast pace of world news, my blog is probably best served as a stream-of-consciousness text. Fast and unadulterated. With this approach, and on first encounter, text might not seem to scan. This is because I am dyslexic. Instead of keeping the proof-readers busy, I would rather let my blog updates of my visual work stand as a record of my experience of dyslexia, which I am keen that you now get to enjoy too. Unlike some news outlets, I hereby excuse myself the need for a ‘corrections’ section! The excitement of a new language is something I’m quite familiar with, and it is with this ‘joie de vivre’ that I am delighted to guide you through my thought and work processes, more phonetically (than fanatically) speaking.
Nuthing Chayshd Otto Dix
In a shocking report 103 female prisoners was let out of HMP Bronzefield in Surrey in 2015 with nowhere to go and incredible the report said that Bronzefield performed acceptable overall but said “the prison had issued tents to two women who were released without anywhere to go to, and the chaplaincy often gave out sleeping bags.”
This is a good marker how great the society is, when we have no support for these people after spending taxpayers’ money in locking them up with a private company, just to set them up to fail back in our free society.
It is not like a private company would have any interest in return business. I feel that if we want to go down the private prison route, they need to be huge caveats in how they get paid especially for return business and successful programs.
When I was reading this original article I could not stop thinking about Otto Dix, Match Seller (1920) , etching.
Obviously not the same event, but the same social reaction to the reality of where these people find themselves in society at such an important turning point in their lives.
