“PHONETICALLY SPEAKING” To reflect the fast pace of world news, my blog is probably best served as a stream-of-consciousness text. Fast and unadulterated. With this approach, and on first encounter, text might not seem to scan. This is because I am dyslexic. Instead of keeping the proof-readers busy, I would rather let my blog updates of my visual work stand as a record of my experience of dyslexia, which I am keen that you now get to enjoy too. Unlike some news outlets, I hereby excuse myself the need for a ‘corrections’ section! The excitement of a new language is something I’m quite familiar with, and it is with this ‘joie de vivre’ that I am delighted to guide you through my thought and work processes, more phonetically (than fanatically) speaking.

Pre-Sketch

“Through The Keyhole”
Through the lens of observation, a rare glimpse was afforded when the key to the inner sanctum was inadvertently left unattended. Behind the parliamentary curtains, amidst a global consensus on the unprecedented threat posed by a viral menace, the stage was set for a play of undemocratic proportions. Laws were crafted, sweeping aside historical precedent and the sage advice of pandemic experts, erecting barriers between state authority and individual liberties.
As the populace was nudged and coerced into compliance with this narrative, dissenting voices—those esteemed scientists who dared challenge the orthodoxy—were ruthlessly suppressed. All this, in service of a globalist agenda, orchestrated by the World Health Organization, under the guise of a containment model of dubious origin, unmoored from credible scientific underpinnings.
One might reasonably expect the corridors of power to reverberate with the weight of the crisis. Yet, behind closed doors, it was business as usual. French officials indulged in extravagant lunches, while the British Prime Minister reveled in birthday festivities. Meanwhile, the Labour leader found solace in a quiet drink at the office, and Matt Hancock, with dire predictions on his lips, found time for extramarital dalliances across London. Not to be outdone, Neil Ferguson, whose apocalyptic projections often proved fanciful, flouted restrictions for his own pursuits.
The irony is thickened by the fact that these very figures, shielded by the guardians of law and order, remained immune to repercussions, even as ordinary citizens faced arrest and fines for minor infractions. And as the media machine, epitomized by the likes of Sky News’s Kay Burley, chastised the public for desiring human connection, they themselves reveled in clandestine gatherings.
One is left to ponder: are they simply mercenaries of the narrative, enriching themselves at the expense of truth? Or are they, in their hubris, emblematic of a breed of self-serving elites, indifferent to the plight of those they purport to serve?
In this moment of clarity, let us find common cause. Whether through prosecution for flouting lockdown laws or for perpetuating a false narrative, justice demands accountability. For inaction, in either scenario, exacts a toll in human lives. It is time to hold these individuals to account, and to ensure that the rule of law applies equally to all, regardless of station or privilege.
